Down at the Station

I LOVE trains! Mummy and Daddy took me to Wellington Station and we spent the morning watching everyone get on and off the trains, watching the guards, looking at the big clocks, the platform numbers and enjoying a big brunch.

I was being a bit slack on the potty training front, but since Mummy and Daddy have started a star chart (with a new train per ten stars as a reward) I’ve become a professional overnight (tee, hee, I know when I am on to a good thing!).

The weather has been very cold and rainy over the past few weeks, but it is the middle of winter, so we’ve been tucked up by the fire alot. I like puzzles and reading (as well as playing with my trains!) so I’m quite happy at home. We have managed to get out for a bit of fresh air too and I have enjoyed riding my trike in the gardens (Daddy says I am a ‘hoon’!).

I am talking lots now and say some words in a northern accent (like ‘tuther one’ instead of ‘other one’).

I like counting too and can count to 10 and love to count everything.

I’m beginning to sleep better (doing an 8 hour stretch without waking at night and then, after a quick comfort from Mummy, back to sleep for another 2 hours). I still love my day nap and usually have two to three hours early afternoon).

Simba is being very good and puts up with me telling him what to do, ‘Simba in’, ‘Simba out’, ‘Simba Wake Up’, ‘Simba eat meat’…

I turn 2 years old next week and am looking forward to my little party.

The next time I write it will be to tell you how it feels to be a 2 year old! xxx
