4 Seasons – Sharing the Love

I just have to share some love here!

Firstly, Lou at Seaside Siblings, has started a weekly linky to celebrate the ‘4 Seasons‘. Wellington is the home of four seasons in one day, with its ever changing weather. Today I came across the following music video, ‘Wellington Love Letter‘, which was a parting gift from Wellingtonian Jessie Lewis-Evans to his colleagues at Weta Digital. He didn’t want to leave Wellington without making a little noise, so he got together with some friends who work in film and came up with this video.

It made me laugh, smile, want to run on the beach, visit the wind turbine, rip my shirt off and dance on the hills of this cool little capital city 🙂

With the sunshine coming out in force in preparation for the onset of summer (which officially kicks off on 1 December) I’ve been feeling the joy of stripping off the layers (even going so far as to enjoy walking around with nought but my p-jay bottoms on Saturday morning and pushing Alice in the garden swing feeling the air on my nipples – so to speak!). Well this video celebrates the beautiful scenery of Wellington in a fun, light-hearted, eighties kind of way (with lots of bare-chested, shirt flying action).

Watch it and share the love! Also visit Seaside Siblings for some other ways to celebrate the seasons (nice recipes, nature tables and the like – all great wholesome things that I lurve too).

So that’s how we’re honouring the season in our home this week – dancing, singing and running around the garden with a lot less clothing than we’ve been used to over the cold, windy winter. Watering the garden has never been so much fun!

Wellington is a city of four seasons in one day alright. When it’s good it really is the coolest little capital (when it’s bad we are thankful for awesome cafes and fabulous nooks to snug up with friends). For me, this is the season of love, with new life everywhere I look.
