Things we’re loving…

It’s been a busy week getting used to school being back, Alice walking and enjoying the last week of Chinese Grandma & Granddad being with us (they fly home on Valentine’s Day).

Thankfully Charlotte & Sophie have LOVED school this week (makes for a very happy Mama!) and we celebrated the end of the week with a Friday boogie board & ice-cream at Lyall Bay…

Frances was with us to help keep a safe eye on our water babes – one of which (Alice) fell asleep in Frances arms afterwards…

Sophie has been so excited about finally starting school and hasn’t gone to sleep till around 9pm most nights (so hyped up with it all!). She’s waking around 7am, full of enthusiasm for the day. We’re worried she’s going to ‘burn out’ soon though! But one positive of our evenings slowly getting darker is the beckoning of earlier bedtimes.

On Thursday evening Sophie, Dan and Chinese Grandma & Granddad enjoyed a very special evening at Princess Bay watching the sunset…

Charlotte is getting on well in her Year 4/5 composite class and her teacher is absolutely lovely – so here’s hoping for a positive year x Amazing to think she’ll turn eight this year – but never too old for the magic of bubbles… we always LOVE bubbles 🙂

I am loving morning walks on our local beach…

And I have LOVED showing Chinese Grandma & Granddad a few Wellington gems – like Scorching Bay and the wonderful Paua shell art…

As Kirsty says, ‘I wholeheartedly believe that no matter what is happening in your life, there is always something that you can be thankful for… no matter how simple it is.
