Photo a Day MAY | What I am Reading

Posted on May 16, 2012 by BritMumInNZ

The past fortnight I’ve been gripped with ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy. I’m nearing the end of the third book, ‘Mockingjay’. I haven’t been reading much since Alice was born, over two years ago, so it’s been great to break the drought!

When I’m into a good book I feel so relaxed about everything else. I read curled up, relaxed in bed, I read on the floor in the living room, close to the play action (ignoring the fact there’s a load of dishes to wash and crumbs to clean off the floor), I read in the car when Alice is taking a nap and Sophie is doing some writing or drawing and I read on a park bench – with one eye on the children to make sure they’re not hanging precariously off the play equipment needing an emergency rescue.

So, hopefully this drought hasn’t just been temporarily alleviated with this gripping trilogy. Anyone got any other recommendations for a fast paced, action-packed read?

Here’s my photo for today (which has been a horribly windy, wet, shocking day – making every one feel like hibernating or growling at the wind – or both!):
