The Photo Gallery | Sunshine

Autumn leaves have neared their fall, on the deciduous trees that populate Wellington’s hills. Longer nights, shorter days, but still the sunshine is bright in the ever changing sky. Too often, with young children, I miss the sunsets of the summer months – all to frequently getting my tribe to bed – apart from the long summer holidays, when bedtimes roll late with the evening light.

Darkness now descends around five and blue sky days turn to pink streaked hues of light.

I appreciate those blue sky days all the more in the winter months. I need them. I have to soak up those rays when the fine days beckon – in amongst the wild southerly storms.

  1. Love that picture of the sky….we are still having very warm weather but forcast storms and we certainly need rain….we have planted lots of bedding plants which need watering early evening….with a hose pipe ban we have to use watering cans so my arm muscles are getting a work out!! Big hugs and all fine here.

  2. Thanks Claire! Glad you liked it. I had to pull over – with all three children in the car – and capture the colours before the sun set. They got out and had a five minute run on the little beach!
