On the first day of winter, with heavy rain pelting down, we drove to Snow Planet; where the outdoor weather bears no influence on the conditions indoors. We paid our money and entered a snow filled fun zone built into the side of a hill. The temperature was -4 degrees centigrade. Brrrrr!
After enjoying tobogganing the girls had a go at skiing, with Dan running like mad down the slope with them! They LOVED it!
Alice slept half the time and then woke up to watch the crazy antics, with her lovely chubby cheeks rosy red in the sub-zero conditions.
Thankfully, there was a lovely warm cafe, from which we could view the action.
We had a fabulous time and wish we had one of these places in Wellington – we’ve certainly got enough hills for one!

That tobogganing looks fantastic fun…well done darlings…a bit scary for Grandma…bet Grandad would love a go!!Good to see Alice all rugged up with her little red nose….very cute!!
