Thoughts for a New Year

Princess Bay

When the year is done, and the time ticks on,
We think of the past, and what is to come.

We look, deep inside, and seek out the truth,
For our spirit speaks, with an honest tongue.

The path is clear, our goals are set, and yet,
We fear, the inner torment, of, self doubt.

We tell ourselves that this will be the year,
Of confidence winning the upper hand.

We step boldly, with determination,
The inner voice, on the year’s cusp, is heard.

We promise to be kind, and true to self,
To take a little time, and not give all.

So that in taking care, of ourself first,
We may give, with more heart, to those, we love.

  2. Dearest Mum and Dad,

    A quiet one for us this year, but just about managed to stay awake to see the New Year in! Dan took the photograph when he went with Charlotte to see the last sunset of 2010 at Princess Bay. Sophie was too tired and Alice was fast asleep.

    Have a wonderful evening seeing in the New Year, with your great friends, as the clock strikes midnight in England. We will be doing a little countdown with the girls and thinking of you and all our dear family and friends in England.
