It’s getting closer.
Our nights are drawing in.
I feel the equilibrium.
As does the nature in my garden.
The leaves have started turning,
as your leaves are just budding.
You’ve noticed the days beginning to linger on –
haven’t you?
Snowdrops in your garden, daffodils too?
My strawberries are still hanging on –
but the leaves are turning from green to red
We gather our harvest, you plant your crops.
We feel the chill of the south winds from Antarctica –
You feel the warm winds of spring.
Slowly turning. We both feel the pull.
Drawing closer.
Our days and nights of equal measure –
Until we swing the other way.

I could feel the earth rolling minutely round on its axis reading this Sarah…Â
Thanks x Sorry I haven’t been dropping in to read as much as I’d like. You’re always a great read. Finding a lot less blogging time since Alice reached ‘2’ and doesn’t nap much – also home-educating Miss 6 keeps me busy – but all good x
enjoyed reading this and loved the photo
Lovely post Sarah. Beautiful. I think when you have loved ones on the other side of the world sharing whats happening with them you do feel the inevitable push and pull, yin and yang of that equilibrium xx
Thanks Meghan xx
Love this writing…it is so moving in more ways than one…the picture is super too…maybe we should soon feel Spring in the air soon …the snowdrops and crocus are blooming but could have a snow shower soon according to the forecast!! We have been on a URA walk today which was very enjoyable…will sleep well tonight and dream of you all there…big hugs from us both.
I love this Sarah – you have captured the season perfectly!
Wow.. Your writing is amazing! I’m a kiwi living in QLD missing NZ and it’s seasons.
