If this storm was in any other nz city, it would have destroyed everything. Here any things built flimsy blew away years ago. #storm13

Christ, the building just did a complicated dance on all 3 axes. Is this storm choreographed by Len Lye? http://t.co/RCu0adGXgC #stormwatch

The Mrs loves extreme weather, she's outside in a bathrobe whooping with a scotch and a fag. Me and the dog are giving each other WTF looks

What a wonderful summary of an eventful night. Well done. But you left off your tweeted plea for a man with chainsaw – did you find both OK? Watermannz
WOAH!! your driveway π
Nearly told you to keep safe last night on FB wish I had now
pleased your all ok π
that’s nuts!!! Crazy weather. Love that arataki ferry pic. hahaha
(feeling for the guy with the flooded out home)
x
Ha, ha, thanks for that Watermannz – turns out I’m going to need more than a chainsaw! On the wait list for an arborist (couple of large trees uprooted – enough firewood to keep the whole street warm for the rest of winter!!).
HA! It has been CRAZY, but Twitter made it fun, as well as wild! x
Crazy hey! We have a lot of clean-up work to organise (on top of relocating for our overseas move! Gah! Going to get rather crazy over the next few weeks!) xx
Love your poem and that video is amazing! We got off so lightly here in the valley. Let’s hope it’s another 40 years until we have a #storm13 again!!
