Raspberry blowing over dinner
Children bring out the fun in us all. We are given an excuse to blow raspberries around the dinner table and no one blinks an eye.
Through children’s eyes the world is anew
Children give us an opportunity to see the world anew with fresh eyes.
Sisters
The love of sisters is full of ups and downs, but the current that binds them is forever strong. Children share a secret world, that adults have long forgotten. When we are invited into their world we remember parts of the magic, but rarely the whole.
Sisters taking care of one another
Children are always learning – to share, to care, to think of others… but when they show their love it is without restrictions or conditions.
Children bring people together and unite them
Children open up new opportunities for deeper friendship and understanding. Children are our teachers; we their caretakers. The wisdom they hold in their young spirits is connected to the Universe in a way we have long forgotten and spend our lives trying to recapture.
Mother and daughters
Children test their mother like no other force on earth. There is no book that can teach the wisdom learned from being a mother. Children exhaust us, challenge us, excite us and energize us; often all at the same time!

I LOVED the line about sisters
growing up my sister and I were like that
we live many hours away from each other now and dont see enough of each other
however there is a VERY SPECIAL bond that holds us together
so pleased father and son were able to have this time together
if fact all of you have been blessed and it looks like it was a real memorable time

YES!!! it’s funny, as a mummy, i still tend to do the busy stuffs with the kiddos and hubby/daddy still enters their world to play… but i very much love it when they ‘unpack their head’ to me lying on the bed at night… it’s such a privilege X
I have to admit to often doing more of the chores/cooking/sorting/organizing than actually ‘playing’. Hubbie is so naturally good at it! But when I do abandon the necessary daily chores for a while, and surrender whole-heartedely to play, I love getting a glimpse of my children’s richly textured minds x
Awww, thanks Penny, that’s so lovely of you. It was a lovely time away (but not exactly relaxing… more of a ‘change of scene’ – and ‘they’ do say, ‘A change is as good as a rest’ and it certainly was!). x
Awww, how lovely of you! Thank you very, very much. It certainly was a very memorable and precious time for everyone.
And yes, I have a very wonderful sister (same age gap as Charlotte & Sophie and I’m the oldest) who I am immensely proud of and love dearly. It’s been nearly four years since we saw each other and I miss her greatly. It’s lovely to see the bond between Charlotte and Sophie and watching them interact often brings back memories of my childhood with my sister. x
