Charli and Sophie love to climb. After ballet on Saturday morning we headed down the waterfront for a bit of adventure. Sophie gave it her best but found the stretches a little too much for her legs – though she’s so determined to give it a go every time we visit the wall! Charli was in her element as the little video clip shows! I did a couple of scales up the wall, whilst the girls sat brilliantly and watched (should have passed Charli the camera – maybe next time!).
We had also hoped to go kayaking on the harbour, but it was a little choppy to take the girls out, so we decided to go kite flying in Houghton Valley instead – great wind for it!

AMAZING VIDEO!! Wowee guys, she is amazing!! I love the whole jumping ‘I wanna come down’ but nothing was happening!!
Gorgeous photo too of Dan and Charli in the distance. Nice photo.
See you soon honey!! xxx
Yep, Dan was doing the same thing to me when I was jumping and trying to come down! Think he was tempted to leave me hanging there!
See you tomorrow! Love, Sarah (time for shut eye – 2 mins past midnight!) xxxx
Very impressive, especially the rope climbing. Although I don’t like heights that looks like a fun activity. When I was a kid we climbed around on the roofs of barns and how we didn’t come to grief at our attempts to parachute of the barn roof with a sheet tied to our shoulders I don’t know.
Tee hee! Sophie’s keen on do it yourself type climbing thrills too – she’s taking after my sister, her Aunty Claire, and when ever she sees a Pohutukawa tree she’s straight up it – they have the best winding trunks for climbing! Sarah x
