A beautiful sunset, on a summer’s evening, in Island Bay, Wellington and our Sophie takes the plunge, as two kayakers glide past the island.
Our dog, Cocoa, watching on, but didn’t follow her lead. Hubby paddled into shore, on his stand up paddle board, and our youngest, Alice, ran around in the shallows, skipping over sand mounds.

It’s another weekend of amazing summer weather here in Wellington, New Zealand (we really have had a good one this year!) and the capital city is abuzz with action, events and activities. There’s the Chinese New Year Festival, the Ciclovia on Miramar Peninsula and the Island Bay Festival.
