I must be a runner now… a poem

There’s days when I’m not convinced,
that I’m really ‘a runner’ now,
and then I have a crazy moment,
where not even the weather can stop me.

I used to drive past runners, on inclement days,
and wonder, ‘Why?!’
A part of me admired their determination,
but on the whole, I thought they were crazy…

and then I became one.

  1. I keep saying I’m going to start up running again… I just need a new pair of trainers and I’m off! Good on you for keeping it up 🙂

  2. I am so torn between being a runner, wanting to be one and wanting to just sit on the sofa! Your poem is fab! As is your 6yos picture 🙂 Thank you for linking to Prose for Thought x
