Nature Drumming

Whilst on Tahunanui Beach on holiday, Sophie found some driftwood sticks and a log which she drummed away on for a while. Joining her, I marveled at how wonderful nature is and how it provides for us in so many ways.

Man by nature is a rhythmic being.
He walks, breathes, and sings, rhythmically;
his heart beats, an internal drum.

Here’s our little drummer girl…

And here’s some Spirit Drums to really inspire and make you want to take off into the wilderness with a back-pack and drum…

  1. Grandma and Grandad have been looking at our little drummer girl on the beach….a log,two wooden sticks and a wonderful sound !!
    You have very good rhythm Sophie darling. What fun!!

    Just wish you were here too – or we were with you! She talks all the time of you and wishing you were our neighbours! One day, we’ll make our fortune and buy a house in the close – ha! Just loving your bluebell photos, mmm, so beautiful! Lots of love xxxx

  2. I’ve never had the stamina to keep up a dumming rhythm – I don’t think Sophie has this problem though!

    Stamina is definitely a trait she has by the bucket-load!

  3. She is adorable. Everytime we are outdoors amongst it I feel the same. Nature truly is the greatest teacher, and it just makes you feel so great. My girls spend many happy hours at the beach with sticks and logs and sand and water as their only toys.

    Thanks Hay – and you’re going to have so much nature on your doorstep with your next move – and family to share it too! So fabulous! x
