Wild weather is sweeping the country at the moment and Sophie and I took a moment to stop for lunch on the south coast. From the comfort of the car we watched the ‘ba dooms!’ as the waves crashed on the rocks. Needless to say, all ferry crossings were cancelled!
We’re rugging up and keeping ourselves busy. Now… I just need to get the heating fixed! Brrrrr…

Hi loves…certainly sounds a bit stormy there…have to say daddy has just cut all the grass as it was covered in twigs, new oak leaves and bits galore after three or four days of wet, windy weather.A spate of calmer weather this morning so he took the opportunity while he could. It must have been wild watching the stormy sea crash against the rocks….pleased to hear you are all rugged up…what a lovely expression…hope the heating gets fixed soon.read the weather link…..some snow around in some parts of New Zealand !!!
Brrrr, thanks Mum. Must get the girls up to the snow over the winter – they are much more aware of what it is now and remember their first experience of it last year. Looking forward to a little break up to the magic mountain! xx
Fantastic pictures Sarah, now I know what it’s like down on the coast. It’s been so wild up here in the hills I could only imagine. There were waves on the water resevoirs but they weren’t impressive enough to inspire me to write a poem!
Thanks Julie, it sure has been wild! I know you’d capture some incredible shots with your camera. It’s very exciting when it’s stormy (but school drop offs and pick ups are ghastly!). x
