Loving a Daddy buying flowers for his girls, just because…
Sophie’s favourite colour is yellow…

And Charotte loves to experiment with colour, watching and waiting, green, purple, blue and red…

Not loving cleaning up a paint trail in the laundry after Sophie’s finished painting pebbles.
Loving walks in the rain on a Saturday afternoon with Alice and Charlotte, and the excitement of hearing a giant squid had been washed ashore… but not loving that it was washed out to sea before we could see it.

Loving a Toy Story 3 lego kit that kept Sophie amused for hours…

Loving Alice’s new toy that gives Mummy and Daddy a few hands free moments to put the hoover round, cook the dinner and make the lunches…

Not loving Saturday morning’s that start off grumpy, but loving it when they end positively with fun family time at the local pool and Alice taking her first dip in the pool…

… and has a power nap straight after before stealing the crust off Charlotte’s sourdough bread,

Loving making stick houses in a local surf cafe in Lyall Bay…

Loving bagel glasses…

Loving sisters dressed up for a kindi disco…

Not loving cleaning up a ripper of a pooey nappy after three day’s of nothing!
Not loving severe sleep deprivation making me absent minded, incoherent and more inclined to blow my top when having to ask dear Miss 4 to tidy up her toys, brush her teeth (for the 10th time) and get dressed.
Loving dear Miss 7 doing everything independently, including making her bed, breakfast & packed lunch without having to be asked.
Loving the confidence I have that dear Miss 4 will get there in the end and not loving (or even wanting to think about) the fact that Alice will require years of training to get to where Miss 7 is at – but will hopefully learn quickly π
‘Loving, Not Loving Lately’ was inspired by Simone at Great Fun 4 Kids.

ooooh, I’m loving your colourful bright and cheerful photos π
Glad the day turned out well. Shame about missing the giant squid. I well remember some major nappy explosions with my boys. I once missed a whole wedding as I sat in the car park going through 3 lots of clothing before having a child clean enough to join the rest of the guests.
Hello! What lovely, happy photos. Beautiful children you have. From your blog list, I see we have some mutual friends (Gifts of the JourneyI is one of my favourite blogs).
My youngest is now seven and my eldest is fourteen and the baby years are over now, but I remember them clearly. It seemed like they would never end. But I’ve moved on now. One season in your life gives way to another and, well, you learn as you go.
neat photos
bless daddy
lego is so good π
hope the girls loved the disco they look wonderful π
wtg Miss 7
Its amazing how sleep deprivation can make us so crazy and slightly out of control. During that breast feeding precious babies through the night was definitely the stage of my parenting that I was more likely to loose it with my kids too. Your not alone, and I’m sure all your wonderful mothering outweighs any thing else, so don’t be too hard on yourself!
