This week we came across these wonderful cardboard flowers from the Warehouse Stationery. They are so handy to have for impromptu play-dates. The girls have really enjoyed decorating them with a variety of materials.
For these flowers Charlotte used wool (left) and glitter glue (right):

The beautiful flowers below were decorated using old magazines (left) and paint (right). Charlotte’s magazine collage flower was lots of fun. We enjoyed looking through the pages of an old AA Directions Magazine and cutting out pictures with a fabulous pack of fancy edge craft scissors.
And Sophie enjoyed painting her flower.

We are LOVING these craft scissors, which we got via Kindi for only $10!

These flowers are both by Sophie, with good ‘ole glitter fun for the flower on the right and magazine collage for the flower on the left:

Finally, Charlotte made this flower using sparkly sticker sheets, which she cut into various shapes using the craft scissors.

The flowers look beautiful on the wall to celebrate the arrival of Spring and we’re looking forward to the Spring Festival coming up soon in the Botanical Gardens in Wellington.

The Spring Festival in Wellington sounds wonderful and we are sure you will enjoy it when it comes. The leaves here are beginning to turn to their Autumn colours and soon be time to hunt out the gloves and hats!!
I love picking up those pre-cut shapes, they seem to come in such a variety that you can always find something for your child’s interests.
They are lovely flowers and certianly look wonderful all lined up like that. SO nice that they decorated them all in such different ways π
They look fantastic en masse and I love the range of techniques you have used in your collages.
