Waitangi Day at the Farm & the Beach on the Kapiti Coast

Waitangi Day falls on 6 February every year in New Zealand. It’s a public holiday and fell on a Wednesday this year, making for a lovely mid-week break from weekly routines, and a nice chance to reconnect as a family after a busy start to the new school year.

Crazy family!

We drove up the beautiful Kapiti Coast for a visit to Lindale Farm (young Alice had been asking to ‘go and feed the animals’ for a few months) and a play on the beach.

Alice loved feeding the animals at Lindale Farm, stroking the baby rabbits and riding on the tractor.

We were followed around the farm by the owner’s corgi – who had a bit of a run in with a goat…

And after all the fun and play on the beach we had to stop for an ice-cream – that’s just the way we roll 🙂 The girls are definitely delighted to have their Daddy home from his business trip away.

Good family fun this Waitangi Day 🙂
