Dear Imagination… #AprilLove2016

Dear Imagination,

I see you every day in my child’s eyes,
in her creative play and questions,
in the songs she sings and stories she tells,
straight from the heart, with natural ease.

Her mind has no limits,
she can travel through changing dimensions,
shape shifting her body through time and space.

Today, on the beach, we sought for sea glass.
See the magic? It’s ever present,
brimming over in her eyes and smile.

Time with her is a reminder,
to never stop imagining,
I love this girl so much x

  1. What a beautiful picture, accompanied by beautiful and heartfelt words. I love sea glass by the way! 🙂

  2. Oh, we have jars and jars of sea glass. I need to get the courage to make something with it! What a lovely poem and beautiful picture. #prose4T

  3. This is so beautiful. You are right – we should never stop using our imagination. I love the photo of your girl too. Thank you for linking to Prose for Thought x

  4. I used to work with young children on environmental projects and their levels of imagination never ceased to amaze me … and then all too often it is stifled by rules – as parents we owe it to our children to never let their imagination be pushed aside – A very late catch up with#Prose4T
