Nearly a week since we landed in England, all the way from our home in New Zealand, with a couple of nights stop over in San Francisco. There’s been no need for big ticket attractions, as simply shifting from spring to autumn in a matter of nights – and wooden houses to brick – is quite enough for our senses. Spending precious time in the company of Grandma & Granddad and old friends is beyond words.
We’ve been kicking up the autumn leaves, discovering 1,000 year old churches and castles, riding buses and trains and chasing bubbles in Grandma and Granddad’s garden before breakfast.
This weekend is going to bring even more reunions – as Dan is back from work in Barcelona this week to see his Mum, Dad, brother, sister and families! We’ll be celebrating his parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and seeing a lot of old friends too. It’s too much to process right now – I feel like a sponge soaking it all in and will savor every droplet over time on our return to New Zealand!

I am loving living this time in England vicariously through you. Love your pics especially the one of Alice on the train and looking around the tree, and your funky stripy leggings. I know I don’t need to tell you to enjoy every minute cos it’s plain to see you are!!!
Those ‘leggings’ are over the knee socks – kinky hey!!! I picked them up in a ‘sock shop’ on Pier 39 in SF – I was overwhelmed with choice (and they are perfect for equinox seasons when full tights can be a bit too warm… nice to have a bit of air floating around π tee hee!) x
LOVE the photos
