It’s the end of the Easter school holidays here in New Zealand and what a way to finish up – with a royal wedding and all! It really was such a gorgeous wedding. A wonderful celebration of hope and optimism. So lovely to see London awash with the colour of flags and the sounds of a cheering crowd in celebration. And to see a Princess in the making looking so natural and elegant was simply gorgeous. They looked like a couple that will go the distance and I really wish them all the very best. I read this gorgeous write up here – ‘Royal wedding: a royal love story‘.
Prior to the big wedding it was a rather wet and windy week in Welly – but the sun returned on Friday for a sun-filled weekend. It was hard for us to return from such a wonderful break away on the Kapiti coast to miserable weather. Dan went off to work on Tuesday and the girls and I were left bereft, of our fun-loving man of the house, to entertain ourselves.
Thankfully there is always plenty to do in Wellington when the weather turns to custard.
Here’s a few special moments we’ve loved;-
Mirror Magic at Capital E…
A couple of fun afternoons at our local swimming pool…
Hours spent playing games, creating and making…
Visits to the library for music, movement, stocking up on books and DVDS…
Morning coffees in cafes with Daddy before he starts work…
Ski suits arriving from Grandma & Granddad in the UK (Alice is wondering where her suit is… but she’ll be sunning it up in the UK for three weeks with her Mummy instead!).
And finally, a return to sunshine for the weekend!
Finishing up with a few video highlights from our Easter break on the Kapiti coast (with a lot of footage of a fabulous miniature railways at Loco near the end!)…

What fun photos!!
Love the pics of the girls in their matching swimsuits! Too cute! And wasn’t the wedding divine – Kate looked stunning. So wonderful to see a young couple so happily in love. π
I think Kate and Will will be ok
he cares a lot about her
Billy and I watched the movie the night after their wedding and I clapped when he stood up to his dad
and told him things would have been different if Charles had cared about his mother
looks like you all had heaps of fun there holidays
I do LOVE the girls matching togs π
