We went to the Strawberry Fair, where red balloons floated in the air.

We feasted on strawberries red,
drizzled with cream.
And watched the QM College girls sing like a dream.
Alice danced, and clapped, along to the songs –
dressed in a vision of strawberry red,
with a Christmas tree, towering, over her head.
Sophie looked a picture, with red bows in her hair.
And big sister Charlotte, on route to the doctor,
Managed a few minutes of fun at the fair.
For this season of spring, does not all joy bring, for –
sufferers of hay-fever and allergies dire.
On to the hospital for Charlotte this day –
but at least she ate fresh strawberries on the way.
She’ll sleep well tonight, like Alice after the fair –
with dreams of red balloons & music in the air.
P.S. Grandma & Granddad do not worry – Charlotte is okay – just another allergic reaction to ‘something’ – nose bleeds and coughing fits last night, along with a very itchy rash 🙁 She’s still smiling though and dosed up to the max tonight x
