Slices of life from the past week | 23 – 30 JUNE

23. MOVEMENT

Nothing beats the thrill of play-time with Daddy! Alice catches some air whilst playing with her Daddy at the playground!

24. ON MY MIND

My oldest daughter turned nine this week. Her past, present and future has been very much on my mind.

25. SOMETHING CUTE

Alice, my youngest daughter – and little green tea leaf, taking a taste of my green tea in her favourite yellow gumboots!

26. WHERE I SHOP

I rarely have reason to go shopping in central Wellington these days (filled with young children and days wearing jeans), but I had a reason on Tuesday. This was my scene on Willis Street – where I went to get my NZ permanent residency visa transferred to my new British passport (and nipped into a wonderful chocolate shop to treat myself to some fudge…!).

27. BATHROOM

It’s very rare that I have a bath – or shower – without another child or toy present.

28. ON THE SHELF

Our piano was tuned on Friday – so I had to move all these precious ornaments (all gifted to us from family) to another shelf for a day.

ON THE SHELF

This is where they normally sit (with Sophie, my second born, discovering the magic behind the polished exterior of our piano):

29. SOFT

There’s a hidden story here… which will quite probably eventuate before Christmas.

30. A FRIEND

My best friend, husband and father of my children.

I have LOVED joining in with ‘PHOTO A DAY‘ JUNE. Looking forward to seeing what JULY holds for us!

    Im playing again in July

your little treat on Tuesday sounds nice

what a neat experience for Sophie to see the inner workings of the piano

  2. Great you’re playing along. It’s so much fun – though some days I forget to take one and it’s bedtime already! I like putting them together over the week (so I can catch up!) and they are so fun to look back on.

  3. Duh! Must have been those Monday morning brain cells, right state though. I’m off to put some flowers in my hair.

  4. Hee, hee, well done 🙂 x 80% chance – will know by next month – and if ‘yes’, we’ll be there by Christmas!
