Easter at the Beach for Lyrical Sunday (Week 16)

Easter at the beach,
chocolate eggs hidden out of reach.
Driftwood adventures, hide and seek,
Waking to the sound of the sea to peek –
At foil wrapped eggs nestled in the dunes.

Easter egg hunt on the beach

We dance and sing to Ukelele tunes,
play ball and tag, till our breath starts to lag.
We quench our thirst with fresh watermelon,
and chocolate treats under the Autumn sun.

Loco miniature train and gardens, Otaki

We visit a miniature railway.
In gardens of childhood dreams we play,
and as the breeze toys gently in the trees,
sweet Alice naps, as the hammock sways.

Sleeping on the hammock

  1. Your last two posts are just magical..yay for being back on broadband now too, I also felt like my limbs were cut off over the weekend with no ability to surf the 3G…ridiculous really! That hammock looks deliciously comfy too. We never made it to Loco but looks like you had a fab time there too. What a wonderful few days for you all to treasure xx

  2. Super pictures of a perfect Easter…I’ll get my thinking cap on for a poem…so sorry I didn’t get one done last time…I must try harder!! Hugs to all from us both. Love your poem’Easter at the beach’….well done!!

  3. What a great clutch of photos – perfect. It looks like you had a great time. We usually hide ours on the beach in sand dunes but we went somewhere different this year. I used to love miniature railways and miniature villages as a child – in fact I still do! Thanks for all your lovely comments on mine.
